Stainless Steel Tubing

Precision tubing is manufactured for applications where dimensional accuracy, corrosion resistance, cleanliness, strength, and consistent performance are critical. Product offerings commonly include welded and seamless tubing manufactured from stainless steel.

Welded tubing is produced from metal strip that is roll formed and fusion welded along a longitudinal seam. Automated welding technologies, including laser, TIG, and plasma-arc processes, can be used depending on the product and application.

Seamless tubing is manufactured from tube hollows produced through processes such as billet piercing or hot extrusion and subsequently drawn to the required dimensions. This construction is well suited to applications requiring seamless material, demanding dimensional requirements, or particular wall-to-diameter ratios.

Key Benefits

  • High Dimensional Precision — Advanced forming processes enable tight dimensional tolerances for applications requiring consistent outside diameter and wall thickness.

  • Consistent Manufacturing Quality — Controlled production, welding, drawing, annealing, and finishing processes help deliver repeatable product characteristics.

  • High-Pressure Capability — Appropriate seamless and precision-drawn tubing designs can provide the strength required for demanding pressure applications.

  • Reliable Performance at Extreme Temperatures — Specialized alloys and tubing constructions can withstand demanding thermal environments, making them suitable for heat exchangers, power-generation equipment, and industrial processing systems.

  • Superior Surface Finishes — Mechanical polishing and electropolishing options provide smooth internal for sanitary, high-purity, and demanding process applications.

  • Hygienic and Easy to Clean — Smooth, controlled surfaces help support cleanability and minimize areas where contaminants or product residue can accumulate.
