Multi-Bag Filter Housings
Multi-bag filter housings are designed for high-volume liquid filtration where greater flow capacity, increased contaminant-holding capacity, and efficient filter-bag servicing are required. By housing multiple filter bags within a single vessel, these systems distribute flow across several filtration elements, allowing significantly higher throughput than single-bag housings while maintaining a relatively compact installation footprint.
Using multiple bags increases the total available filtration area without requiring an individual filter bag to handle the entire process flow. This can provide higher capacity, longer operating intervals, and more consistent pressure-drop performance in demanding applications.
Key Benefits
High-Flow Filtration: Multiple filter bags provide substantially greater total filtration area than single-bag housings, supporting high-volume process streams.
Increased Dirt-Holding Capacity: Multiple bags distribute contaminant loading across several filtration elements, extending service intervals and overall capacity.
Reduced Pressure Drop: Dividing process flow among multiple bags can reduce flow velocity through each element and maintain favorable pressure-drop characteristics.
Efficient Maintenance: Multiple bags can be accessed through a single cover, allowing several filtration elements to be serviced during a single maintenance operation.
Reliable Bag Sealing: Dedicated bag hold-down and sealing arrangements help prevent unfiltered liquid from bypassing the filter media.
Operator-Friendly Covers: Spring-assisted, davit, or quick-opening cover mechanisms reduce the effort required to access large multi-bag vessels.
