Mesh Filter Bags

Designed for efficient removal of suspended solids, sediment, debris, and other particulate contaminants from water and industrial process liquids. Unlike felt filter bags, which primarily provide depth filtration, mesh bags use a defined, uniform pore opening to capture particles at the surface of the media.

Mesh filter bags are reusable or disposable liquid filtration elements manufactured from woven mesh media. The controlled openings in the mesh establish a defined particle-retention size, allowing liquid to pass through while larger particles are retained on the upstream surface.

Key Benefits

  • Precise Surface Filtration: Unlike felt filter bags, mesh bags capture particles primarily on the surface, providing consistent particle retention and easier cleaning.

  • Reusable Options: Certain mesh constructions can be cleaned and reused, helping extend filter service life.

  • Defined Particle Retention: Uniform mesh openings provide consistent surface filtration based on the selected micron rating.

  • High Mechanical Strength: Woven mesh construction provides good dimensional stability and resistance to handling and mechanical stress.

  • Low Pressure Drop: Open mesh construction allows efficient liquid flow with relatively low resistance when properly sized.

  • Easy Maintenance: Bags can be quickly removed for inspection, cleaning where applicable, or replacement.

  • High-Flow Applications: Suitable for applications requiring efficient solids removal with relatively high liquid flow rates.

Quality & Compliance

All mesh filter bags are manufactured using controlled woven-media and bag-construction processes, with applicable materials selected to meet industry and application-specific requirements, including FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for applicable food-contact polypropylene materials and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 where certified drinking-water configurations are required. Filtration performance and element integrity may be evaluated in accordance with applicable ISO standards, including ISO 16889 and ISO 2942, with material traceability, dimensional inspection, and quality documentation available for applicable configurations.
