Duplex Strainers
Duplex strainers are designed for applications where fluid filtration must continue while one strainer chamber is removed from service for cleaning or basket replacement. The dual-chamber arrangement allows operators to redirect flow through the clean side, isolate the loaded side, and perform maintenance without shutting down the entire process.
During normal operation, fluid is directed through one basket while the second chamber remains available for standby or maintenance. When the active basket becomes loaded, flow can be redirected to the clean chamber, allowing the isolated basket to be removed, cleaned, inspected, and returned to service. Particularly valuable in continuous-process systems where an interruption in filtration could affect production, equipment protection, or process stability.
Key Benefits
Continuous Filtration: One chamber can remain in operation while the opposite chamber is isolated, allowing the basket to be serviced without interrupting filtration.
Dual-Chamber Housing: Two independent filtration chambers provide operational flexibility, with the ability to switch between clean and loaded baskets.
High Flow Capability: Dual chambers can be sized to provide substantial filtration area and maintain efficient flow with manageable pressure drop.
Easy Basket Maintenance: Individual baskets can be isolated and accessed for cleaning or replacement while the opposite chamber remains in service.
Heavy-Duty Housing: Fabricated metal construction provides structural strength and durability for demanding pressure, temperature, and industrial service conditions.
Long Service Life: Durable housing and basket construction supports repeated cleaning, inspection, and replacement cycles while providing long-term service.

Quality & Compliance
All duplex strainer housings are manufactured using controlled fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes, with applicable materials and pressure-containing components selected to meet recognized industry requirements, including ASME B16.5 for applicable steel and stainless-steel flanged configurations. Housing and basket materials may be manufactured to applicable ASTM material standards, with dimensional inspection, pressure testing, weld inspection, material traceability, and quality documentation available for applicable configurations.
